Site Safety and Health Officer
State and federal contractor looking for Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO). Individual must possess excellent communication skill, ability to work as a team, an extensive knowledge of SSHO duties as required on federal contracts, and hazard recognition.
Position requirements:
- Valid driver license
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
- Completion of 30-Hour OSHA or equivalent within the last 5 years
- NAVFAC 40-hour Construction Safety Hazard Awareness for Contractors within the last 3 years
- Ability to pass drug screening (at the time of hire and randomly while employed)
- Ability to gain federal base access
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be familiar with the US ACE EM 385-1-1
- Experienced in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
- Experience in conducting and documenting daily safety inspections as required by the contract
- Conduct safety and occupational health management duties, including inspections and enforcing contract requirements
- Ability to create a great safety culture with craft and management across the company and projects
- Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports
- Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams.
