What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrumental Music Teacher position at Triton Regional School District?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Elementary Instrumental Music Teacher to inspire our young musicians and build a strong foundation in instrumental music education. The successful candidate will be part of a team that implements a comprehensive instrumental music program for students in grades 4-6, fostering musical skills, appreciation, and confidence.
This educator will provide lessons and instruction in all 3 of our elementary school buildings on different days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education (Master's preferred)
- Valid state teaching certification
- Minimum of 3 years teaching instrumental music at the elementary level
- Proficiency in multiple instrument families (woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion)
- Experience conducting beginning-level ensembles
- Strong classroom management skills appropriate for elementary-aged students
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for introducing young children to the joy of making music
