Job Summary: Triton High School is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to serve as the Junior Varsity (JV) Girls Lacrosse Coach for the [upcoming season/year]. The coach will work closely with the varsity coaching staff, assistant coaches, and athletic department to promote the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field.Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and conduct practices to develop the skills of JV girls lacrosse players.Develop and implement game strategies, ensuring that athletes understand their roles in both offensive and defensive play.Provide mentorship and motivation, helping players grow in skill, confidence, and sportsmanship.Monitor the academic performance and overall well-being of student-athletes to ensure eligibility and personal development.Collaborate with the varsity coaching staff to align training programs and ensure a smooth transition for athletes progressing to the varsity team.Manage team communication, including distributing schedules, information about games and practices, and any necessary updates to athletes and their families.Ensure the proper maintenance and use of lacrosse equipment, practice areas, and other resources.Represent the school in a professional manner during competitions and all team-related events.Follow all applicable local, state, and national regulations governing lacrosse, including safety protocols and student-athlete welfare.Attend team meetings, events, and end-of-season banquets or celebrations as required.Qualifications: Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level, or experience as a player at a competitive level.Strong understanding of lacrosse fundamentals, strategies, and techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage student-athletes.Ability to create a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.Ability to handle the administrative aspects of coaching, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and maintaining records.A commitment to the mission and values of Triton High School and the athletic program.Must pass a background check and adhere to all school district and league policies.Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience coaching lacrosse at the high school or collegiate level.Knowledge of coaching software or communication tools for managing team schedules, rosters, and other logistics.
