Position Summary: The Commercial Collateral Specialist is responsible for performing lien perfection on vehicle titles, releasing collateral, verifying receipt of original documentation and negotiable collateral forsafekeeping and tracking and monitoring collateral
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perfect liens on all collateral securing the loan. Setup ticklers and track receipt of perfected collateral.
Review and monitor tickler reports as they refer to collateral perfection, ensure follow-upinformation is received and report to Management monthly.
Monitor file room and vault to ensure documentation and negotiable collateral is stored andretrieved under dual control.
Review collateral documentation for accuracy and completeness, and ensure collateral documentshave been properly perfected.
Manage mail to ensure all required documentation is received.
Work with Lending Assistants to ensure original documentation is received in the file room andvault for safekeeping.
Validate collateral documentation is stored and maintained in the imaging system.
Monitor collateral release mailbox. Release tangible collateral per the Bank's policies and procedures.
Process paid off worksheet daily. Review collateral release requests to and ensure proper approvalwas obtained.
Release tangible collateral per the Bank's policies and procedures.
Scan and index collateral release packages into imaging system prior to releasing collateral.
Promote and implement the Bank's service philosophies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2 years of experience working with commercial loan documentation is required.
Knowledge of loan documentation.
Skills & Abilities Required
Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable and professional customer service both in person andon the telephone.
Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgement.
Ability to perform a wide range of administrative duties.
Knowledge of lending and general banking policies /procedures.
Knowledge of collateral, commercial loan documentation and lien perfection.
Strong skills operating a personal computer including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,Microsoft. Outlook, Loan Core System and navigating the internet.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to take initiative and work independently, if needed.
Evidence of a strong work ethic, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
