Triumph Financial Services originates and services factoring facilities to support working capital needs concentrated in the transportation industry, with a focus in over the road, for hire trucking segment. The Factoring Division enables clients to generate liquidity for operational needs through the purchase of receivables from the client. The Underwriting function in Factoring serves to identify risks and mitigations common to the credit, character and collateral profile of both new and existing factoring clients.
Triumph Factoring Division is hiring an Underwriting Analyst that will be responsible for new client application underwriting and support portfolio management via underwriting existing client relationships on an as needed basis. The position will require a high degree of organization, attention to detail, initiative and an effective communication skill set. A qualified applicant will demonstrate the capacity to identify, address and convey key decision inputs from disparate sources to achieve decision concurrence from all stakeholders.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEvaluate the Character, collateral and credit risks identified via a review and analysis of the application, business conditions, external reports, and management capabilities.
Oversee application work-flow processing - prepare contracts, filings, maintain system changes, and be responsible for compliance of OFAC and legal documentation of applicants.
Review credit reports, background searches, OFAC, Clear and UCC searches, to identify risks indicative or predicative of future behavior that would generate a loss. Construct rationale supporting a final decision or decision recommendation to management.
Effectively articulate the justification for underwriting decisions to all Originations and Credit stakeholders.
Draft, amend, and complete legal contract packages.
Create and maintain client information within internal files.
Execute all assigned tasks in a timely manner in accordance with expectations in place.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of experience in underwriting or risk analysis.
Experience with Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)
Experience with reading both consumer and commercial bureaus.
Experience in transportation factoring is preferred.
Independently motivated with a strong desire to perform.
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and as part of the team.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong professional communication skills.
Ability to problem solve and think critically.
