SUMMARY :
Responsible for working independently to perform maintenance, repairs, and / or modifications of the plant's computer-driven control system and the plant's electrical system; involved in design application, installation, and repair of all PLC and electrically driven equipment. Responsible for performing job duties under the general direction of the Engineering Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provides leadership and guidance to employees in the Maintenance Department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Must have a minimum of a 4-year electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited university and previous leadership experience. Background in PLC, VFD, and Servo Motor Control Systems. Being bilingual is a plus. Experience using multiple computer applications including but not limited to ADP, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
KNOWLEDGE :
Ability to read schematics and blueprints and document all self-created changes. Complete understanding of plant electrical systems, including DC and AC voltage from 24v to 480v. Experience with plant floor automation, office Ethernet, control net, fiber optic networks, and network wiring.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS :
To be reviewed with hiring manager.
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and write documents in the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Must be able to perform simple math and perform calculations in preference to projects.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Office and plant setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, and exposure to fumes or airborne particles and chemicals.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
