The Cost Estimator at Triumph Group designs, engineers, and manufactures a broad portfolio of aviation and industrial components, accessories, subassemblies, systems, and aircraft structures. We partner with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to provide solutions for the entire product life cycle of an aircraft.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Working from customer prints and specifications to evaluate products for relevancy with our capabilities
- Prepares an operational process structure cost estimate to the sales department.
- Provides an estimate of the required tools and fixtures to manufacture the part.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or a minimum of three years' experience
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft gear and housing manufacturing processes or similar precision part manufacturing
- Working knowledge of special processes such as NDT, heat treating, plating, coatings, painting, and shot peening
- Ability to enter information into an ERP system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to use AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Aerospace marketplace knowledge is preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
- Must be capable of withstanding long periods of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
