Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket / spares end markets.
Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer Intern to join our West Hartford, CT team. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement classroom learning. In addition, at the West Hartford facility, the student will gain exposure to all the aspects of the full product life cycle of highly engineered aerospace components.
- Research of component specifications for population in our Electronics Database Management System (EDMS)
- Circuit simulation for analysis of Design Verification Test results
- Update of Electrical Design Automation Tools in Python or other programming languages (e.g. Netlist compare, and Schematic Compare)
- Testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) during Design Verification Testing, and Design Assurance Testing
- Bread-boarding circuit changes
- Generating block diagrams in MS Visio
- Documentation of Design Verification Test Results and the generation of Test Reports
