Job Summary
The Material Management Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring Operations activities for the Materials Management team support the customer committed ship dates. This will be accomplished by overseeing the inventory management in the warehouse, issuance of materials to assembly, receipt of supplied materials and shipment of customer orders. The following duties are performed personally or through members of their staff:
Major Accountabilities
1. Supervises Materials Management team and establishes performance objectives, monitors fulfillment of goals, and conducts performance appraisals. Provides appropriate training and development, coaches and disciplines as needed.
2. Supports all activities required for Materials and Inventory Management, Shipping and Receiving activities which support Operations with customer delivery requirements.
3. Reviews weekly/daily requirements and advise management of anticipated constraints or limitations which may result in challenges to team commitments.
4. Audits for accuracy and timeliness of cycle counts and ensures schedule adherence of job issuance requirements, ensures quality of ERP system (Epicor) transactions for: material intake, issuance and shipments.
5. Exemplifies and fosters teamwork within the Materials Management Team and broader where possible.
6. Promptly responds to concerns, issues, and suggestions and acts to ensure positive employee relations.
7. Key contributor supporting information flow at Daily GEMBA.
8. Initiates, drives and supports continuous improvement activities to promote process improvements and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
Physical Limitations: Work may require sitting and/or standing for up to 8 hours per day, lifting.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma.
Minimum Years of Experience Required: At least five (5) years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong Communication skills – verbal & email
Data skills – via Excel, ERP, etc.
Motivating/Developing employees – hourly
Training skills
Self-directed
Microsoft Office Products
