Early Childhood English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher

Triumph is seeking applications for two dedicated and creative Early Childhood English Language (ELL) Teacher Consultants to join our team. The consultant will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging English language lessons to children aged 3-5. This role involves creating fun and interactive lesson plans, assessing children's progress, and providing feedback to support their language development. The Early Childhood English Language Learner (ELL) Consultant Teacher is responsible for implementing and supporting a program-wide culture that promotes children's learning and development. They collaborate with other educators to support English Language Learners (ELLs) and advocate for students with limited English proficiency. Additionally, they utilize appropriate teaching methodologies to develop early childhood practices that enhance children's listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, while honoring the home language.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, Psychology or other related field
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement (SEI) before start date (or similar)
- Ability to create an intentional culturally responsive learning environment inclusive of children from all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds, abilities and family structure
- Must have the ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding children, families and staff
- Must have outstanding organizational skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems
- Must excel in being able to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and professional manner
- Must be able to prioritize multiple and competing tasks to meet program timelines
- Demonstrated accurate attention to detail and follow through a must
- Must be able to work in a diverse, high energy environment
- Must be self-motivated and show initiative in problem solving
- Must be able to travel locally to Triumph locations
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to meet the coverage needs of the Agency
Scope of Work:
- Work will begin in January 2025 and continue through June 30, 2025
- Must be on site an average of 32 hours per week (may include some evenings)
- Must provide own transportation to travel between Triumph’s 3 sites
- Must provide own technology for work and data reporting
- Suggested salary range $40/hr--Consultant will be required to complete W-9 for tax purposes
