Network Engineer (On-Prem, Azure Cloud)

Role : Network Engineer (On-Prem, Azure Cloud)

Location : Carson City, NV (Onsite 5 days / week)

Duration : 6 Months Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 10 years of expertise in managing complex networks, including Cisco routing, Meraki switching, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, and Azure cloud networking. The candidate will implement and maintain network infrastructure, security protocols, and automation tools, with a focus on Zero Trust Architecture, IPS / IDS, network micro-segmentation, and Python scripting for automation. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, configure, and manage Cisco routing, Meraki switching, and firewalls (Fortinet & Palo Alto).
• Implement Zero Trust (ZTNA 2.0), IPS / IDS, and network micro-segmentation.
• Support DMZ and NAT configurations, IP scheme management, and IPSec tunneling.
• utomate network tasks using Python and streamline operations.
• Configure and manage Azure cloud networking for hybrid environments.
• Create and maintain network flow diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

Must-Have Qualifications :

Preferred Qualifications : Experience with SD-WAN, network monitoring tools, and disaster recovery planning.
