What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Collection Specialist position at TriValley Primary Care?
Come join our team at our Corporate Office! TriValley Primary Care is one of the largest Primary Care Physician Groups in the area.
The Patient Billing & Collection Specialist is responsible for the collections of patient accounts & maintaining patient collection policies and procedures. Essential job functions include:
- Telephoning patients to collect and minimize patient balances
- Educate & communicate with offices on patient collection policies and techniques
- Research credit balances and process refunds
Successful applicant should know how to best handle collection problems, communicate with patients and maintain consistencies amongst all offices. Applicants should excel at collecting timely and efficient payments from patients and/or their responsible parties, understand collection & cash management policies, and confirm the accuracy of patient balances.
Knowledge for the FDCPA is required with experience in both patient billing and patient collections. Applicant must have collection experience.
This position is full time, 40 hours per week. No nights or weekends for this position.
