Job Summary
This position focuses on growing the business through the development of new and relevant opportunities in target markets while optimizing operational efficiency. This position works closely with the CEO and collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Production & Accounting to achieve cost savings and overall company profitability.
Major Responsibilities
- Management of company personnel and assets to include scheduling and resource allocation to meet customer or internal project deadlines
- Employee Reviews and Time off approvals for direct reports
- Work with Department Managers and Leads to achieve operational efficiency and cost savings
- Identify, develop, and implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow
- Identify, develop, and implement operational cost savings as applicable to meet company profit margins
- Work with Accounting to communicate budget objectives to upper Management
- Define target markets, identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Lead the development and management of strategic account plans
- Monitor and evaluate activities, services and products of the competition
- Work with upper Management to create strategic planning models to meet the Company’s long term goals including creating a framework for how to prioritize new business ventures
- Maximize key relationships to create synergies, alliances and opportunities
- Effectively negotiate new contracts or accounts
- Make decisions regarding facility and equipment operations including safety, routine maintenance and asset replacement
Tasks/Skills
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and high-quality output, while also improving efficiency and reducing waste.
- Protect and leverage intellectual property
- Ensure financial objectives and efficient use of resources are met to maintain company objectives
- Manage and develop the production team, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with the sales team and interact with customers to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, and provide regular updates on production capacity and timelines.
- Track SOs, MOs, parts shortages, and maintain appropriate inventory levels for forecasted orders.
- Identify areas for improvement in our processes, equipment, and systems, and implement solutions.
- Monitor and analyze production data and KPIs to assess performance, identify trends, and develop action plans to address any issues.
- Develop and manage the production budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain a safe and clean production environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Perform administrative functions, such as reviewing or writing reports, approving expenditures, providing documentation

- Be a critical thinker and problems solver with good negotiation skills
- Possess strong business acumen
- Be a strong leader who also understands the need for collaboration and teamwork
Education and Experience
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED is required
- At least 10 years experience in a similar management role with preference for candidates with business development experience
