LIQUIDS MANUFACTURING BATCHER I
1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm
SUMMARY
Responsible for the batching of high-quality liquid products to the company’s standards based on customer’s Master Formula Records and Good Manufacturing Practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in making Liquid batches in accordance with the Master Formula Record (MFR) and good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Ability to work with hazardous materials and use appropriate PPE when required in accordance with the safety data sheets (SDS)
- Maintain the DI water system in accordance with SOPs
- Clean, maintain and tag all equipment, small parts and tanks in accordance SOPs
- Follow the Liquid Manufacturing production schedule
- Print production work orders and request Master Formula Records in accordance with the production schedule
- Follow department SOPs, WPPs and maintain up-to-date training record
- Review all required SOPs and WPPs annually
- Work with Quality and Production to ensure the highest possible quality is met and product is within specifications
- Assure that Master Formula Records (MFRs) are followed and up to date
- May be required to participate in Master Formula Record (MFR) review meetings
- Interact with other teams such as but not limited to Quality, Sales and Marketing, Material Management, Maintenance and Logistics
- Occasionally required to interact with Customers and potential Customers
- Maintain strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices when executing all assignments
- Perform timely and accurate transactions of workflow in ProcessPro and Infinity
- May assist in investigation and implementation of corrective actions on product and/or process failures
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

This position is classified as a safety sensitive position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and one to three years’ experience in pharmaceutical/dietary supplements manufacturing preferred, computer literacy is a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written job instructions and communicate professionally and effectively with customer, peers, co-workers, member of management, and vendors via in person and e-mail. Ability to read and interpret documents such as but no limited to safety data sheets (SDS) and master formula records (MFR).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the ability to do metric conversions and compute percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Licenses to operate the fork truck, motorized pallet jack, and straddle lift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be handy with tools and equipment. Must have the ability to work with and read various measuring instruments and tools. This is a GMP/FDA approved facility, which requires but is not limited to wearing hair/beard nets, smocks, scrubs, and has restrictions on jewelry, contact lenses and makeup. This position involves working with various liquid products in a wet environment. Must handle various raw materials in a safe manner as described in the safety data sheets (SDS) and use personnel protective equipment (PPE) as required.
