Tablet Manufacturing Press Operator I
2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am)
SUMMARY
Responsible for granulating, tableting, or encapsulating high quality human consumable products for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Operate Ribbon Blender and make flavors as needed
- Operate the Manesty D3B press as needed.
- Operate and clean the Mill and Ogee grinder as needed.
- Learn all aspects of Pre weigh operations.
- Learn to make routine raw material receipts and issues in Process Pro
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance to TM & TP equipment as necessary and skill level allows.
- Monitor and adjust machinery for potential problems.
- Make sure batches are made correctly with the right amounts and types of raw materials.
- Complete the Master Formula record.
- Train in all SOPs pertinent to job as required.
- Keep all products; work in process and raw materials identified by lot numbers.
- Perform necessary cleaning after completing maintenance on equipment.
- Respond to production requirements of other departments as needed.
- Wear hearing and eye protection when necessary, according to the associated SOPs.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must have basic computer abilities.
- Must be detail oriented.
- There must be no safety or quality related issues in the last 90 days. There must be adherence to TMS attendance policy, and no verbal or written warnings within the last 180 days.
This position is classified as a safety sensitive position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation. As a safety sensitive classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma, and 6 months in Tablet Manufacturing to be considered for promotion.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences
between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform
these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Licenses to operate the fork truck, motorized pallet jack, and straddle lift.

For consideration to promotion to Tablet Manufacturing Press Operator Level II, there must be no Safety related or Quality related issues in the previous 90 days. There must be adherence to the TMS Attendance Policy, and no Written or Verbal warnings in the previous 90 days.
You must have completed 6 months of Operator Level I before consideration to promotion to Operator Level II.
