Job Summary
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, is responsible for quality, cost and efficiency of shipping / receiving transactions, coordination of all incoming and outgoing materials, and production scheduling while maintaining inventory control in accordance with the Trivium Packaging business plan.
Job Duties :
- Determine work assignments, shipping requirements and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Ensure efficient product scheduling of line to maintain correct inventories.
- SAP Inventory and warehouse management; includes daily tracking of inventory variances, creation of weekly production orders, resolution of production order variances, closing of weekly production orders, and monthly cycle counts.
- Coordinate internal and external storage of cans, ends and supplies.
- Work closely with client representatives to ensure customer service satisfaction.
- Analyze service failures / issues and implement performance processes to enhance future service delivery.
- Work with Supply Chain, Sales, Transportation, and Purchasing Groups to ensure business continuity.
- Work closely with plant management on scheduling of lines and personnel while achieving inventory goals and controlling cost.
- Direct supervision of logistics, planning, shipping and MRO
- Direct personnel including scheduling, policy and procedure administration, training and documentation in all areas of responsibility.
- Execute safety policies and practices and provide training, minimizing risk to personnel.
- Requisition miscellaneous production materials used in the end making process.
- Organize and facilitate both physical tagged inventory and cycle count inventory as well as MRO / spare parts.
- Work with the Plant Engineering Manager and Corporate Health and Safety Manager as it pertains to the Recycling Program.
- Effectively maintain the perpetual inventory on all items, incoming and outgoing.
- Communicate and motivate personnel to maintain and improve personnel performance through listening skills, meeting skills, appraisals, progressive discipline, goal setting, and quality practices.
- Work closely with Human Resources to address and resolve personnel issues.
- Train all plant personnel in inventory control procedures.
- Internal and external communications, as needed, 24 hours a day to ensure proper operation of every aspect of the operation.
- Lead the Forklift Certification program
- Shall have an awareness of the Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principles and Food Safety Standard.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
