Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Coordinator & Project Manager to oversee and facilitate the design process across multiple luxury home projects. This role serves as a liaison between third-party designers, homeowners, architects, and contractors, ensuring that design intent is successfully executed throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for luxury design, strong project management skills, and the ability to provide design assistance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination with Third-Party Designers: Act as the primary point of contact between external designers and the internal project team, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment with project goals.
- Client Liaison: Work closely with homeowners who are in contract to purchase, guiding them through customization decisions and ensuring their vision is realized within project constraints.
- Project Oversight: Track the design process from concept to execution, managing schedules, budgets, and communication between stakeholders.
- Material & Finish Coordination: Assist in sourcing and selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures in line with the designer’s vision and homeowner preferences.
- Problem-Solving & Design Support: Provide design assistance when necessary, helping to refine details, resolve conflicts, and maintain quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all design elements are properly implemented during construction, conducting site visits and working closely with the build team.
- Budget & Timeline Management: Monitor costs related to design selections and ensure decisions align with the overall project budget and schedule.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Interface with suppliers, contractors, and tradespeople to confirm product availability, delivery schedules, and proper installation of design elements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of experience in luxury residential design coordination, interior architecture, or project management.
- Experience working with architects, builders, and high-net-worth clients.
- Strong understanding of high-end materials, finishes, and construction details.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design and project management software.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, particularly with discerning homeowners.
- Experience managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations in high-end residential projects.
