This role is critical in driving data-driven decision-making, ensuring data governance, and implementing scalable, efficient data solutions that align with organizational goals.Education & ExperienceRequired : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent experienceU.S. CitizenMust be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or a related field5 years of experience managing teams and large-scale projectsExpertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehouse architectureStrong knowledge of data integration tools, ETL processes, and data pipeline designProficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based data warehouse platforms like SnowflakeFamiliarity with data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica)Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skillsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholdersProven experience designing and implementing enterprise-level data solutionsPreferred : Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the organization’s data architecture strategy to align with business objectives to design a mature analytics-based platform.Define and enforce data standards, policies, and governance practices to ensure data quality, master data management, security, and compliance.Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business innovation and efficiency.Design and oversee the implementation of robust, scalable, and efficient data models, databases, and analytics and AI / ML pipelines.Define enterprise data architecture principles, including integration, security, and performance standards.Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to support data initiatives.Lead and mentor a team of data architects, data engineers, and analysts to achieve departmental goals.Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the data team.Partner with IT, analytics, data engineering, data quality & governance and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs.Work with external vendors, consultants, and partners to implement data solutions and ensure interoperability.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA, where applicable.Oversee the implementation of data security measures, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of data architecture and data management practices.Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and processes.CompetenciesCommunication / People Skills : Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.Independent Thinking / Self-Initiative : Adaptability to keep pace with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture.Leadership : Visionary leadership to drive innovative data strategies.Organizational Skills : Detail-oriented with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.Working ConditionsRemote or hybrid, depending on business needMay require occasional travel to collaborate with teams or attend industry conferencesCompany Overview Taking Care of Our Nation’s Heroes.It’s Who We Are. • Annual base salary for Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Washington D.C. and Washington State residents : $189,000- $242,000 depending on experience
