The Fire Testing Technician is responsible for the onsite testing of fire life safety systems. Your main responsibilities include testing and cleaning of all types of fire life safety devices, fire panel monitoring, device labeling, and testing set up and break down.

Essential Functions
- Testing of fire life safety systems including: fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, pre-action systems, standpipe systems, etc..
- Displays an understanding of and the functionality of the Fire Life Safety systems installed.
- Performs good housekeeping while at a customer site; keeping work area clean and organized.
- Monitors and updates tickets assigned to them in company CRM.
- Accurately communicates device testing status, device name changes, location changes to ensure accurate testing documentation.
- Understands how to read and interpret previous testing documentation into a functional working plan for the current testing process (when applicable). Taking into consideration any special accommodations or notations recorded on that test
- Adheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards and practices.
- Operates and understand the use of all tools and equipment needed for the test.
- 1 years’ experience in fire life safety testing
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License, and proof of auto insurance.
- Punctuality and regular attendance
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day, daily.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
- Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and high-rise buildings,
- Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
- Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 20 pounds, daily
- Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
- Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally
