The Lead Technician is responsible for the onsite installation of nurse call, security and fire life safety systems within healthcare facilities.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all California locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The Lead Technician is responsible for the onsite installation of nurse call, security and fire life safety systems within healthcare facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Lead crew on site to ensure the successful installation of project components
- Provides system troubleshooting and makes timely corrective actions to keep project moving forward.
- Interpret drawings and identify best methods of project completion
- Possess knowledge of security, nurse call and fire life safety systems, including but not limited to EST3, Lenel, and Ascom
- Be the primary contact for the customer while on site; communicates daily with the Foreman and/or Project Manager regarding job status.
- Responsible for all project documentation; enters a daily summary into company CRM regarding the status of the project installation. Will provide all final project documents timely for project close outs.
- Responsible for ensuring all project materials and equipment are prepped and read to be used during the project installation.
- Adheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards and practices
- 5 years installing low voltage in the Healthcare environment
- 2 years in a leadership role (4 years in leadership-preferred)
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
- Must be able to get immunizations and vaccinations needed to work in the healthcare facilities
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- Repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak
- Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 50 pounds daily
- Drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day
- You may work at extreme heights occasionally, and an indoor environment under all temperature variations. Confined spaces may occasionally be required
- Work is performed in hospitals and other medical facilities with patient contact
