The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all California locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
Essential Functions
- Draft well written proposals that are presented to the customer and are able to be translated into a project plan when awarded.
- Review project bid specifications to evaluate estimating requirements and expectations.
- Develop and identify any RFI’s and clarifications, completing and submitting any project kick off forms required.
- Perform facility site visits to review project layout and to gain a deeper understanding of the project requirements. Obtain any additional information needed to complete an accurate bid/estimate.
- Proactively identify items that may and can impact the project and adjust estimate, as needed.
- Understand how to read and interpret drawings for project estimating.
- Partner with Project Managers, Account Executives and/or Department Managers when needed for estimating direction.
- Build and develop relationships with key vendors, contractors, and consultants.
- 1-2 years in Construction and/or low voltage installation
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License, and proof of auto insurance.
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- Ability to drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day, daily
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily
- Stand or Sit for long periods (4 hours), daily
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations
- Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily
- Work environment may be construction sites, commercial properties, and/or high-rise buildings
- Move/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionally
