TRL11, Inc. is a venture backed startup looking to bring cutting edge video technology to the new space economy. We are based in Irvine, Southern California. We are looking for a Hardware Engineer Intern to join our team.
This is going to be an in-person internship, and we prefer local candidates.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Measure and analyze camera components for performance metrics (e.g., resolution, sharpness, etc.)
Perform testing and evaluation of image quality for various camera systems
Assist with camera hardware testing, PCB board validation, and debugging of electrical components
Assemble, inspect, and test mechanical components and enclosures used in camera systems
Assist mechanical engineers with CAD drawings
Document test results and maintain performance metrics
Optimize parameters for 3D printing various prototype materials
Design test and assembly support fixtures and tools
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
Exposure to CAD tools (Fusion 360, Onshape, Solidworks, Altium, etc.)
Familiarity with PCB boards, basic circuit debugging, and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and good documentation skills
Familiarity with the basic principles of optics and image sensors
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
