Primary Functions:
The Medical Imaging Clinical Placement Coordinator will carry out responsibilities which ensure high quality, well-coordinated student clinical experiences in the Radiologic Technology Program, the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and the Echocardiography Program. The Medical Imaging Clinical Placement Coordinator works closely with key stakeholders such as clinical partners, Allied Health leadership team, course instructors and clinical staff at all clinical health care facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The Medical Imaging Clinical Placement Coordinator candidate must hold, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree; For master's degree programs, holds, at a minimum, a master's degree.
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
- Documents two years' clinical experience in the professional discipline.
- Documents one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program.
- Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent1, in radiography.
Job Specific Functions:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products noted above
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to identify issues; communicate with faculty, students, staff and agencies; and obtain support for the Allied Health programs
- Network with clinical agencies to ensure clinical placement sites are available for all clinical courses and appropriate for students
- Attend mandatory clinical placement meetings
- Meet all mandatory deadlines for clinical placement
- Collect evidence of clinical faculty onboarding compliance reports
- Maintain compliance paperwork required for clinical confirmation and comply with NYSED, the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and college regulations
- Assist in updating student clinical records and evaluations in the students tracking system (Trajecsys) to ensure that students are in compliance with all clinical requirements
- Create & maintain clinical rosters, and confirm clinical schedules
- Ensure that there are active affiliation agreements with clinical sites
- Communicate with Medical Imaging program course instructors to identify students who are non-compliant with requirements prior to attending clinical
- The Medical Imaging Clinical Coordinator must be prepared and able to drive to clinical sites to both evaluate the site and maintain current relationships while creating new contacts for clinical placements
- Acts as a liaison between the college and clinical sites
- Overseeing daily operations of the clinical placement process and setting agendas for various meetings with key stakeholders
- Seek out new clinical affiliations and maintain effective communication with affiliated agencies
- Attend required meetings at clinical affiliation agencies
Additional Job Functions:
- Obtain prescheduled orientation (date, time and location) for imaging students at the start of each Fall
- Communicate this to newly enrolled students
- Obtain prescheduled orientation (date, time and location) for clinical faculty for each clinical organization
- Communicate this with both residing and newly hired clinical instructors
- Schedule make-up clinical rotations for students
- Communicate make-up dates/times to students

The Medical Imaging Clinical Coordinator performs most of their work in office settings. Minimal physical effort is required. Employee will operate personal computers and related equipment. Travel may be required for making public presentations and for attendance at regional or central meetings and conferences. Employee needs to be responsible for travel to/from the college and clinical sites. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for employees with physical limitations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands with fingers to handle or feel. Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
