Food Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Manager to oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on food preparation, customer service, and hospitality management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage kitchen staff, ensure high-quality food standards, and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Oversee daily food preparation and kitchen operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Train and develop kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.
• Manage inventory control to minimize waste and ensure the availability of necessary ingredients.
• Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall dining experience for customers.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to meet established standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.
• Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation and management within the hospitality industry.
• Strong customer service skills with a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience.
• Knowledge of hospitality management principles, including staff training and development.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and cost management strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.
• A passion for the food industry and a desire to help others succeed in their roles.

Must have current ANSI-accredited Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate in the state of West Virginia to be qualified.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
