The Job
Trollwood Performing Arts School is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stage Setup Specialist to join their scenic crew for the Mainstage Musical summer production of Mamma Mia. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and striking scenic elements, including props and furniture.
- Assisting in loading-in and loading-out scenic elements and equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment backstage.
- Working closely with the stage manager and other crew members to execute scene changes efficiently.
- Attending technical rehearsals and dress rehearsals to ensure scenic elements are properly functioning.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Experience working backstage in a theatrical production.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Availability to work day, evenings, and weekends throughout the production week.
