Process Improvement Engineer
This position is responsible for driving process improvements, project development, and assisting operations in meeting key performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operation of the plant in an environmentally responsible manner in compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Policy.
- Support plant personnel and process improvement efforts to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production goals.
- Perform process modeling and flow calculations using various engineering software such as SYSCAD and Pipe-Flo Advantage.
- Serve as a process improvement engineer on capital improvement project teams to take projects from concept study to implementation.
- Use creative problem-solving to improve safety, quality, cost, and production.
- Gather, interpret, and analyze data, and draw conclusions based on the data.
- Make data-driven decisions and demonstrate the ability to make appropriate assumptions when unknowns exist.
- Complete Software Change Proposals for new or modified processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Advanced skills in Process modeling software such as SYSCAD, Aspen, and ChemCad, as well as Python for Machine Learning and Data Science, MATLAB, Plant Triage / Expertune Loop Tuning, SEEQ, Pipe-Flo Advantage, and Foxboro / Honeywell DCS.
- A thorough knowledge of plant operations, equipment, and processes.
