Bayside Resort Golf, a vibrant semi-private club known for its exceptional member experience and top-tier amenities, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the club and staff along its continued growth path. The Assistant General Manager will play a critical role in assisting in oversight of all aspects of club operations and strategic direction, with a primary focus on delivering outstanding service, optimizing operations, and fostering a vibrant club culture.
General Job Duties:
- Report directly to the Club General Manager
- Manage the club in the absence of the General Manager
- Assist in oversight and managing of all aspects of the property including Food and Beverage, Golf, Recreation, Agronomy and Building Maintenance
- Be comfortable with management of multiple venues and outlets spread out across our near 1,000 acre campus
- Assist with budget preparation in technical areas
- Proficient in financial reporting of P&L to GM and Direct Reports on a regular basis
- Provide high level, guest-facing customer service
- Produce weekly and daily revenue reports to help guide team
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training and onboarding of all new staff
- Assist with performance reviews, and discipline across all departments
- Assist GM with creation, implantation and managing capital plans
- Proficient in financial reporting of P&L to GM and Direct Reports on a regular basis
- Review daily work and business level projections to effectively assign duties to associates, managing staffing guides and payroll projections
- Effectively communicate all relevant information between department heads and GM
- Conduct regular staff meetings with direct reports, and associates
- Assist in continual update of training and onboarding materials for all new and returning hires
- Ensure all Club and Management standards are being upheld
- Nights and weekends required
Minimum Qualifications for Assistant General Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience in club management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Qualifications:
- PGA or CMAA preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of EZ Suites/Golf 365 a plus
- Previous experience in Club and/or F&B management settings
- Must be highly organized and self-driven
- Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
