Sea Colony is seeking a talented professional to help teach and market all aspects of Sea Colony’s world ranked tennis and pickleball programs. Our facilities include 30 tennis courts, (14 clay courts, 10 hard courts and 6 indoor hard courts), 16 pickleball courts and 4 indoor pickleball courts.
Sea Colony is rated as as one of the top Tennis and Pickleball resorts in the world by Tennis Resorts Online. In addition, Sea Colony is a three-time USTA Outstanding Facility of the Year and has been named the #1 private facility in the country by Tennis Industry.
Located in Bethany Beach, DE between Ocean City, MD and Rehoboth, DE, Sea Colony also features a fitness center, a ½ mile of private beach, and extensive lodging. The Sea Colony community consists of approximately 2200 homes, townhomes and condominiums.
General Description: In this position, you will assist in teaching all aspects of the resort’s Tennis and Pickleball operation (private lessons, clinics, and camps to all ages and abilities). In addition, you will assist in marketing all aspects of the racquet sports program. As an ambassador of Sea Colony, you will present a professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor to all homeowners, visitors, and co-workers.
Compensation: This full-time position offers outstanding benefits, recreational privileges, and a compensation package that includes an hourly rate plus commission on camps, clinics, and private lessons.
Special Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- RSPA or PTR certification is preferred
- Pickleball certification is preferred
- Must be an accomplished tennis (NTRP 4.5 ) and pickleball player (DUPR 4.0 )
- Knowledge of current teaching techniques and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups
- Energetic and enthusiastic coaching style
- Self-motivated, creative, and well-organized
