We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced F&B Manager to join our winning team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a country club setting and a proven track record of success in managing food and beverage operations.
The F&B Manager will be responsible for assisting & overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage department, including menu planning, inventory management, staff training and development, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the overall success of the club.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be approachable.
- Practice three steps of service, warm welcome, friendly compliance, and fond farewell.
- Opening the restaurant, holding team members accountable, tee-sheet evaluations, dining room readiness, closing the restaurant, ensuring that the service staff have completed all their closing duties, posting daily transactions, posting closing reports, ensuring the restaurant is safe and secure before leaving
- Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, communicating specific customer needs (i.e. allergies and special modifiers) to the kitchen
- Track daily sales, reports, weekly scheduling, club accounts, and labor – subject to change
- Know and understand all food menu items as well as wines by the glass.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of members
- Manage inventory and ordering of food and beverage supplies
- Responsible for Budget
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Recruit, train, and manage staff to ensure exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the overall success of the club
- Monitor financial performance and make recommendations for improvement
- Must be hands-on with both staff and members
- Provide training and development of the staff
- Ensure all team members adhere to policies & procedures
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a country club setting
- Proven track record of success in managing food and beverage operations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENT:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum two years’ experience in country club and golf tournaments.
UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work days/nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is routinely required to stand for long hours of time. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service expectations.
