This individual is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating the flow of the dining room, and supporting the service team to ensure seamless operations. - Provide immediate and warm attention to all guests upon seating, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Coordinate and manage dining room floor seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.
- Assist servers with taking drink orders, food orders, and addressing other guest requests as needed.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests.
- Act as a barback, ensuring bartenders have the supplies they need during busy service periods.
- Refill water glasses, clear used plates, and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
- Clear tables after guests have finished dining, ensuring all items are removed promptly and neatly.
- Reset tables to Pine Canyon standards, including linens, flatware, glassware, and other table settings.
- Clean chairs and table surfaces, ensuring a spotless and inviting environment for the next guest.
- Sweep or vacuum around tables and dining areas as needed.
- Set up tables to Pine Canyon standards, including linens, flatware, and glassware.
- Ensure server workstations are well-stocked and organized for smooth operations.
- Organize plated dishes in the kitchen window, ensuring accuracy with tickets before running food to tables.
- Communicate with the kitchen team to correct any discrepancies in orders before delivery.
- Clean and maintain workstations, dining areas, and surrounding spaces.
- Remove trash and ensure the dining area is spotless at all times.
- Manages the flow of the dining room by seating guests in proper station rotation while maintaining an accurate waitlist and reservations.
- Continuously monitors the needs of members and the workflow of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Checks all tables daily, before and during service, to ensure proper settings and presentation.
- Remains visible on the dining room floor, accessible to guests, staff, and management.
- Assists with side work such as bussing tables, taking cocktail orders, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dining room.
- Monitors and maintains restroom cleanliness, stocking, and orderliness to uphold Pine Canyon’s high standards.
- Works collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and bar staff to create a “Member/Guest Comes First” environment.
- Manages the reservation book, takes incoming calls, and records special requests or notes for the service team.
- Processes to-go orders, verifying accuracy and tendering payments for member charging.
- Participate in team pre-shift meetings and adhere to safe work practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
