Responsibilities:
- Monitor activities in and around the swimming area to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
- Enforce all safety rules and facility policies with professionalism and courtesy.
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR when necessary.
- Conduct routine safety checks of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
- Assist with pool maintenance, chemical management, and cleanup, including keeping the pool deck tidy and organized.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Current lifeguard certification from the Red Cross or a recognized organization (or willingness to complete certification before start date).
- Certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Strong swimming skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the summer season.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior lifeguard experience is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of water safety and rescue techniques.
