What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at Troon?
The Maintenance Technician at Troon Country Club is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the club's facilities and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and functionality within the club.
Hourly rate: $22.00 - $25.00 DOE
General Purpose:
Provides daily repair and maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, grounds and other areas as required.
Essential Duties:
- Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds.
- Maintains cleanliness and appearance of exterior of the facility including but not limited to emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and arranging outdoor furniture.
- Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility including but not limited to emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture.
- Identify and report to the supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands:
- Frequently uses hands, reaches with hands and arms.
- Regularly climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, stands, walks, sits.
- Frequently lifts or carries up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
- Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
- No certifications or licenses are required.

- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
