What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Troon?
Supports the sales team in delivering support services and sales and marketing administration to the facility. Has a general understanding of the sales and marketing process and is able to assist as required.
Essential Duties:
¨ Prepares Group/wholesale contracts.
¨ Assists in creating banquet event orders.
¨ Executes month end reporting procedures for the sales and marketing department.
¨ Liaise with wholesalers and make aware of periodic updates, contracts and rate changes. ¨ Creates postings for specials, events, and tournaments.
¨ Maintains rates in Ez Links with assistance of Head Professional.
¨ Assists DOSM with web site administration.
¨ Executes commission report for hotels.
¨ Works with Troon Corporate to execute e-mail blasts.
¨ Interacts with Troon advertising department with advertising development.
¨ Manages database with Troon Corporate by processing data collections.
¨ Assists GM and Head Pro reviewing tee sheets.
¨ Assists DOSM with direct mail and surveys.
¨ Prepares thank you letters and surveys for groups on behalf of GM and DOSM.
¨ Distributes marketing materials to facilities, clients and media.
¨ Assists with general administration duties as needed by department.
¨ Implements and maintains excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
¨ Provides additional support to banquet and catering department as needed.
¨ Regular and reliable attendance.
¨ Performs Other Duties As Required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Noise level is moderate.

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the office may use are in English).
