What are the responsibilities and job description for the Player Assistant position at Troon?
As a key member of the operations team, the Marshal is responsible for monitoring the pace of play on the course. In addition, a Marshal needs to provide our guests high quality customer service in a friendly and helpful manner.

Must be dependable

Knowledge about the game of golf highly preferred

Maintain professional appearance

Responsible for maintaining a reasonable pace of play on the golf courses

Communicate and assist the Pro Shop in keeping an accurate pace of play

Communicate with Starter and Pro Shop about any pace of play concerns

Monitor course cleanliness

Assist Outside Staff Attendants as needed

Advises guests of course conditions, expected pace of play, local rules and other golf related issues

Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management

Perform other duties as assigned

Frequently stands and walks; reaches with hands and arms

Regularly sits and uses hands; talks or hears. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls

Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds

Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather)

Noise level is moderate

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
