What are the responsibilities and job description for the Range Attendant position at Troon?
As a key member of the property’s golf operations team, the Driving Range Attendant reports directly to the Golf Course Director of Golf and attends to the golf cart fleet and driving range.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must have strong customer/guest orientation
- Working knowledge of the rules of golf is preferred
- Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment
- Must have driver’s license
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
- Must be dependable
- Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Ensure the practice range is open and ready for players in the morning
- Ensure the practice range is clean of all clutter at end of day
- Straightens out practice area equipment in preparation for next day
- Picks golf balls with tractor as well as by hand
- Washes all golf balls that are picked up with tractor or by hand
- Replaces golf balls in the private instruction and private clinic areas
- Receives and communicates golfer complaints to the Pro Shop
- Ensure the clubhouse patio areas are kept orderly and clean, including trash cans
- Empties garbage into dumpster when necessary
- Washes golf carts and returns to either staging area or stores away for evening
- Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
