Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 plus annual bonus

• Assists with developing annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. Manages expenses within the department in accordance with the property directive.
• Maintains ongoing awareness of all agronomic activity on the course (greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers) and provides constant feedback and direction to key staff members.
• Supervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plants.
• Maintains clear understanding of and implements all Troon Golf Agronomy standards in addition to ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory standards/laws.
• Supports the planning, organizing, and direction of the maintenance and construction.
• Ensures proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemicals/fertilizers used on the course.
• Provides timely and accurate reporting of all financial and non-financial information as directed, requested or required by the General Manager, Director of Agronomy, or Troon Golf representatives.
• Implements sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors, when possible.
• Manages monthly and annual maintenance activities and costs within budgetary limitations. Reconciles and provides timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documents.
• Ensures maintenance equipment is properly maintained.
• Ensures that they and all associates obtain proper training and/or licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations. Addresses directly all real or perceived environmental, customer, or neighbor concerns.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensures both upward and downward communication within the department and inter-departmentally.
• Provides leadership and a positive working environment that fosters teamwork, communication, ethical behavior, cleanliness and a “can do” attitude.
• Directly manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Mechanic, Equipment Operator, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician.
• Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each associate and develops ongoing training programs.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

• Regularly stands, walks and sits.
• Regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears.
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes or smells.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

• Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Noise level is moderate.

• Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
