Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in maintaining the store's appearance, managing inventory, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking merchandise and arranging displays.
- Assist in inventory management.
Skills
- Background knowledge in hunting/fishing, outdoors, guns, tackle, etc..
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Competence in cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and stock management.
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
