Snapshot of Key Responsibilities:
The Refrigeration Support Specialist is responsible for developing, quoting and selling refrigeration projects to contractors in the supermarket, cold storage, food service refrigeration and mechanical HVAC segments.
In this role, the Refrigeration Support Specialist should act as a trusted resource assisting the Refrigeration Market Leader and the Resource Center team members in their assigned markets.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Full days split between quoting refrigeration projects to a variety of refrigeration contractors and answering questions from Resource Center sales teams within their given market.
- Effective communication with Refrigeration Market Leader to ensure timely quotation of refrigeration projects.
- Supporting Refrigeration Market Leader’s training and coaching efforts within local Resource Center teams.
- Participating with Refrigeration Market Leader and vendors with internal sales team training.
- Continual learning because they know that their knowledge of the refrigeration industry is the currency to creating credibility with customers and Resource Center teams.
- Proactive communication with the Refrigeration Product Manager to ensure proper mix and inventory levels based on market demand.
- Collaboration with other internal teams, like marketing and purchasing, to accomplish the common goal of growing refrigeration product revenue.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate excels at handling multiple quote requests simultaneously:
- They are effective time managers, able to complete time sensitive quotes and product selection requests for both contractors and Resource Center team members.
- Careful and focused on the details, they provide accurate project quotes and product selections.
- Product knowledge experts who can collaborate with refrigeration product management to ensure proper mix and inventory based on market demand.
- Great record keepers who track quotes in our CRM system and review with the Director of Refrigeration to decide how to modify past quotes for future success.
- They are passionate about learning and training the next generation to support refrigeration contractors.

My name is Bobby Burnett, and I am the Director of Refrigeration Sales at Tropic Supply, where I specialize in training, empowering and supporting our Refrigeration sales and support teams. I know the challenges that poor communication with supervisors can create so I strive to always be available to talk, visit and support my team.
