Snapshot of Key Responsibilities:
The Refrigeration Market Leader is responsible for developing long-term relationships and driving sales growth among new and existing businesses by engaging contractors and Resource Center sales teams in the market.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Full days split between sales activities with a variety of Refrigeration contractors and training activities with Resource Center sales teams within their given market.
- Effective communication with Refrigeration Support Specialists to ensure timely quotation of refrigeration projects.
- Training and coaching local Resource Center teams to partner with them in the selling process.
- Continual participation with vendors in internal sales team and contractor training.
- Continual learning because they know that their knowledge of the refrigeration industry is the currency to creating credibility with customers and Resource Center teams.
- Proactive communication with the Refrigeration Product Manager to ensure proper mix and inventory levels based on market demand.
- Collaboration with other internal teams, like marketing and purchasing, to accomplish the common goal of growing refrigeration product revenue.

My name is Bobby Burnett, and I am the Director of Refrigeration Sales at Tropic Supply, where I specialize in training, empowering and supporting our Refrigeration sales and support teams. I know the challenges that poor communication with supervisors can create so I strive to always be available to talk, visit and support my team. One of my favorite parts of my job is brainstorming with our team the potential solutions that we can offer to customers to grow our business. A strong believer in life-long learning, I am passionate about helping our team reach greater success by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence that they need to bring value to their customers and prospects. I have personally seen the power that positivity has in the workplace, and I consistently use humor in my interactions with our team and customers to promote stronger relationships.
