We are a dynamic and fast-growing Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) based in Tampa, Florida, specializing in skincare, haircare, wellness, and OTC (Over-the-Counter) products. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Floor Lead to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our compounding and packaging functions.

Key Responsibilities
Scheduling and Preparation:
- Meet with the Lead Team to go over each week’s schedule and the job details.
- Formulate plans to execute production job efficiently.
- Plan and prepare for filling and packaging tasks by allocating appropriate equipment and personnel to cover the daily production schedule.
- Lead morning meetings and go over details in the bill of materials (BOM) so that specifics are covered and relayed appropriately.
- Verify that packaging components and in-process bulk has been stage and counted prior to start-up and is sufficient for production job.
Production:
- Assign tasks to production associates for each production run. Include daily clean-up duties.
- Start production promptly after the morning meeting to maximize the time and efficiency of the job.
- Ensure that the production output maintains its hourly goals and report progress and any issues encountered to the Lead Team.
- Monitor and adjust setup and personnel to maintain optimization.
- Motivate production associates to maintain production pace and morale.
- Ensure that the production team follows pack-out and pallet specifications as listed in the BOM.
Documentation and ERP Utilization:
- Set-up workflow in the company’s ERP system and ensure that production associates are entering information correctly and in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot any documentation issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare reports on pre-production and post inventory levels, material usage, and final finished product counts.
- Verify pallet tag accuracy with number of boxes, accuracy of finished product count.
Team Leadership:
- Be a lead to production associates to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide training and mentorship on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards.
- Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Other Essential Functions:
- Proactively identify and address operational challenges to maintain smooth production runs.
- Collaborate with the Lead Team to ensure the production floor has all resources to meet project timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on production equipment and coordinate necessary repairs or servicing.
"Wearing Different Hats":
- Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities outside the standard job description as business needs arise. This may include assisting in special projects, warehouse, quality, or other cross-functional tasks to ensure smooth operations and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of experience in cosmetic/dietary supplement/OTC product manufacturing.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
Skill Set:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of liquid filling equipment and practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Full mobility, including walking, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a production environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with skincare, haircare, wellness, and OTC products is a plus.
