This role is responsible for coordinating and processing all the necessary requirements for importation of freight into the Port of Palm Beach, FL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and send arrival notice to the consignee and/or brokers and provide guidance on U.S. Custom requirements.
- Provides the highest level of service and customer care to inbound customer service calls.
- Quoting, vessel arrival information, cargo availability, clearance requirements, bounded services, General Order, records incidents, etc.
- Ensures all U.S. Custom requirements are completed prior to cargo releases
- Coordinate with various Tropical Shipping departments
- Actively involved in the process improvement plan for import functions and department requirements
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements:
- 3 years experience in traffic documentation, customer service or export brokerage
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment- ability to work for long periods of time on a computer
Other Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- Limited travel to other Tropical locations
