TROPICAL SMOOTHIE CAFE GENERAL MANAGER

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, particularly food and drink environments. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and customers. The Café Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional service standards. This position will lead and develop the manager to drive catering and increase sales. The GM will be expected to hit operation and sales goal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Manage and train café staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Develop training programs to enhance staff skills in food production and customer service.
• Maintain inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
• Create and manage budgets to optimize profitability while maintaining quality.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and quality standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Be passionate about the success of the cafe and its performance

Requirements

• Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a café or fine dining setting would be a great.
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Knowledge of budgeting practices and inventory control processes.
• Experience in training development for new hires and ongoing staff education.
• Familiarity with food production techniques and bar operations is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
