Yard Worker

The Yard Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Toilet Shed and supplies, as well as supporting the waste collection operations by performing a variety of physical tasks. This person will also be responsible for running to pick up parts and must have a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Yard Maintenance: Ensure that the yard is clean, organized, and free of debris. Regularly clean and maintain the work area to comply with safety and environmental standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, and trash handling machinery safely and efficiently.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of materials and supplies needed to maintain the Toilet Shed.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• General Labor: Assist with additional tasks such as moving heavy objects, cleaning equipment, and performing routine maintenance on company vehicles and machinery.

Qualifications:

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in all weather conditions, and stand for long periods.
• Experience: Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Skills: Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and compactors; basic knowledge of trash handling and waste management.
• Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace safety standards and protocols.

Work Environment:
The Yard Person works outdoors in various weather conditions and is often exposed to noise, dust, and odors. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Schedule:
This position will be working 6am – 4pm Monday through Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
