About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Management Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality management program, including supervising quality assurance technicians and directing quality activities on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train quality assurance technicians to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively
- Direct quality activities on the factory floor to ensure products meet Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Practices, and customer specifications
- Foster a cross-functional quality mindset within the operations department and factory management staff
- Develop and implement effective quality control procedures to prevent defects and deviations
- Collaborate with other quality sub-teams to manage product releases after proper record review
- Administer the product hold, rework, return, and recall program
- Develop and maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including complaints, recalls, and corrective actions
- Prepare reports analyzing food safety and quality compliance trends, efficacy, and efficiency improvement, as well as cost-savings opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum 3 years of related food manufacturing experience, preferably with supervisory experience
- Ability to create SOPs from scratch
- Proficient in Excel for data analysis and creating graphs
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication and presentation skills
