Position Overview:
The Ontario Plant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing safe, productive operations for the dry and frozen warehouse team members. They will collaborate with the Logistics Team on the daily inbound and outbound shipping schedule. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the cycle count program, minimizing turnover rates, and partnering with plant leadership on key initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Ontario Warehouses on site (1 dry, 2 Frozen) prioritizing safety first
- Monitors employee performance and attendance; works with HR to take necessary disciplinary action
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
- Oversee all work schedules and work being done in the department
- Participate in Annual Capital Planning and Master Planning Processes
- Manage Departmental Budget
- Maintain communication with trucking and other shipping companies for efficient and timely pickups
- Oversee staff to ensure accurate weekly inventory cycle counts are maintained
- Develop, direct, and manage shipping & receiving personnel and train them to properly, efficiently, and safely utilize all equipment and tools
- Collaborate frequently with Plant, Transportation, Distribution, and other cross functional departments, maintaining positive working relationships with all parties
- May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store good; and
- Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business (Logistics/Operations Preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar field (Food Industry a plus).
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced work environment
Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s
- Accurately completes required Food Safety & Quality records
- Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Q.A. Manager and Department Manager
- Mentor staff for implementation of food safety and quality procedures
- Attends all Food Safety/Quality meetings to develop quality and safety procedures
