Responsibilities:

Responsible for installing, wiring, programming, and commissioning Building Automation Systems (BAS) for HVAC and other mechanical systems in commercial buildings

Install BAS hardware, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and other system components

Perform electrical wiring and terminations for control panels, field devices, and network communications in accordance with local codes and standards.

Configure and program BAS controllers to meet project specifications and operational requirements.

Assist in setting up network connections and system integrations with third-party devices.

Conduct system checks to ensure proper functionality of installed controls.

Calibrate sensors and verify performance to meet design and customer expectations.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during the commissioning phase.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure successful project execution.

Maintain accurate records of installation, programming, and commissioning activities.

Provide documentation for as-built drawings and system changes.

Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction with installation and system functionality.
- Provide training to customers on system operation and troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in BAS, controls, or related field.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and BAS control diagrams.

Familiarity with control systems from leading BAS manufacturers (e.g., Honeywell, Trane, Johnson Controls, etc.).

Knowledge of low-voltage wiring, networking, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

Proficient in using tools for wiring, testing, and diagnostics.

Ability to troubleshoot control system hardware and software issues.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in a related field preferred.

Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, BAS manufacturer certifications) are a plus.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and navigate construction sites safely.
