Hiring Salary Range
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00

The Analyst will develop insightful and actionable intelligence to aid in strategic decision-making and drive business development, profitability, growth, prospective/client retention, and other business opportunities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the competitive legal environment, as well as emerging trends in the legal industry, to provide proactive business insights.
- Provide quick reference and in-depth research on competitors, clients, prospects, markets, and industries to support firm-wide marketing and business development initiatives
- Analyze and create reports using internal business intelligence data on clients, matters and industries served to uncover trends and identify opportunities.
- Synthesize relevant information needed for high-level and business development decision-making, and succinctly communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner, with an emphasis on written communication.
- Tailor communication and delivery methods to suit the needs and understanding of different audiences, enabling them to best leverage market and client intelligence.
- Provide training and guidance to business development staff on resources and methodologies to support them in execution of their responsibilities.
- Ability to quickly develop proficiency in new information resources; experience with corporate databases such as Westlaw Litigation Analytics, Capital IQ, Manzama, Leopard Solutions, Lexis Nexis, ALM Legal Compass, PitchBook, Lex Machina a plus
- Strong analytical and research skills, experience working in complex databases and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint a plus
- Ability to effectively manage expectations and explain research findings to various stakeholders within the firm, including the business development team and lawyers.
- Ability to build relationships with clients, lawyers, internal departments and vendors, while respecting confidentiality
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, especially written communication.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing; a combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ competitive intelligence (CI) experience, preferably from a law firm
