The Financial Systems Data Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Financial Systems Operations Manager in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of information in the firm's accounting system. The ideal candidate is an integral part of the Financial Systems and Solutions team who will perform a wide variety of detailed tasks and deliver a high level of customer service, while consistently maintaining excellent work product.

The Financial Systems Data Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Financial Systems Operations Manager in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of information in the firm's accounting system. The ideal candidate is an integral part of the Financial Systems and Solutions team who will perform a wide variety of detailed tasks and deliver a high level of customer service, while consistently maintaining excellent work product.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Billing, Collections and Legal teams to update clients and/or matters to ensure efficient billing and collections practices and procedures in the billing software system.
- Reviews, maintains, and updates appropriate fields with key client and matter data throughout the lifecycle of the matter.
- Communicates and discusses new client requirements (e.g., task codes, billing formats, special reporting needs) with the Billing, Collections and Legal teams.
- Performs various tasks as it relates to the Accounting system including research, data clean up and special projects as they arise.
- Manages and responds to requests in a timely manner for various ad hoc reports or other assignments and projects as needed.
- Manages and understands the impact of the data captured in Intapp as it relates to the billing process to ensure accuracy.
- Helps maintain Data Integrity, Rules and Guidelines within Accounting related software.
- Ability to communicate in both written and oral form clearly and effectively with professionals within the firm and with clients as necessary.
- Ability to build, maintain, and deliver professional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts.
- Able to represent the department in a professional and positive manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Teams, and Outlook and in using Accounting related computer systems to setup queries, enter data and process information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of firm data.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with teams to promote consistent and efficient workflow processes.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently in a hybrid, and in-office setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the requisite knowledge and ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Minimum of one (1) year of accounting/billing experience in a law firm setting preferred.
- Intapp and Aderant software experience preferred.
- Hands on experience retrieving data by writing SQL preferred.
