Hiring Salary Range
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00

The Proposal Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the development of high-quality proposals and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other client inquiries. The Proposal Specialist involves collaborating with various departments to gather necessary information, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and delivering compelling and persuasive proposals that effectively communicate the firm's capabilities and value proposition.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including planning, writing, editing, and formatting proposals.
- Analyze RFP/RFI requirements and develop a comprehensive proposal outline and work plan/schedule.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, attorneys, and other stakeholders to gather and synthesize information.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive content that aligns with the firm's messaging and client needs.
- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Coordinate proposal team meetings, track progress, and communicate deadlines.
- Review and edit proposals for clarity, grammar, and compliance with client requirements.
- Ensure consistency in branding, formatting, and overall presentation.
- Conduct final quality checks before submission.
- Assist with proposal tracking and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Foundation experience beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote consistent and efficient workflow processes.
- Ability to develop relationships with the Business Development team, other administrative departments, and subject matter experts throughout the firm.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong customer/client service and interpersonal skills.
- Deadline-driven with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote, hybrid, or in-office setting.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, English, or any combination of experience, education or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in proposal writing, business development, or a related role.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
