As a Universal Banker III/Vault Teller, you will be the Customer Ambassador for the bank with the overall purpose of providing quality and efficient personalized banking services to our customers. The primary role of the Universal Banker III/Vault Teller is to supervise and direct the vault activities of the Bank, assure efficiency and accuracy in vault reports, and maintain adequate currency levels between branches. The Universal Banker III/Vault Teller also processes consumer and business banking transactions to include balance inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing and provide basic account information.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Implement appropriate controls and action plans regarding the vault function to ensure efficient and effective management.
- Balance cash vaults daily and exercise daily supervision over vault to ensure appropriate controls are observed.
- Provide assistance and support in dealing with customer and employee currency concerns as needed for all branch locations.
- Monitor and maintain cash held in main vaults and individual teller stations to minimize exposure to loss while assuring availability; maintain assigned cash drawer in accordance with bank policy; buy and sell currency from vault as necessary, ensuring drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
- Prepare manifests related to money transactions including keeping a vault log, a log of money shipped via armored carriers, and currency taken out of circulation, such as mutilated bills or coins.
- Process all loose coin and prepare cash and coin for shipment to the Federal Reserve.
- Demonstrate a positive and helpful attitude toward customers (internal and external), understand their importance to Troy Bank & Trust and understand how his/her job affects those customers. Provide extraordinary customer service by winning every customer over, taking ownership of every customer issue, and following up until the issue is resolved.
- Respond to basic customer inquiries about account information while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations, and consumer privacy policies.
- Listen to customer needs and match those needs to the most beneficial services.
- Resolve customer issues and provide relevant information.
- Prepare documentation related to deposit accounts and other bank products.
- Perform routine teller transactions.
- Comply with regulatory requirements.
- Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
- Perform branch administration support tasks.
- Perform Universal Banker III/Vault Teller duties at any Troy Bank & Trust location as assigned.
- 1-3 years banking or finance experience preferred.
- High school diploma. Post secondary education a plus.
- 1 year of cash handling and client service experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer satisfaction oriented.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrated skill in accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Required to work in a closed environment with no windows, where processing large volumes of currency/coin may generate dusty conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to repeatedly lift heavy bags containing deposits, currency and/or coin weighing 30-50 pounds.
- Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation.
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Ability to travel between all locations to accommodate staffing needs as required to include temporary or permanent assignment.
- May support multiple locations to include Troy Main Office, Troy Downtown, Goshen, Brundidge Main, and Brundidge Downtown.
